Water is life. Water is an extremely valuable natural resource.

It is a basic human need as well as a valuable asset that all living things possess. Water is essential for the life of both plants and animals. If we take in consideration only 3% of water is fresh water between which most of it frozen. As a matter of fact, groundwater is a key source of freshwater, providing nearly half of the world's drinking water. Groundwater is invisible source of water with visible result in life of human being. We are using groundwater like an advantage because of its unparalleled quality and availability, and now we all have groundwater management challenges across the globe. We can say that world water day is very precious mission about plan and tackle water crisis.

Groundwater as the theme of World Water Day 2022 would bring attention to this invisible resources, improve exchange of knowledge and collaborations, and make people aware of the significance of conserving our groundwater.

On World Water Day, we will discover the water and architectural highlights of the city of Heidelberg together with you during a 90-minute city rally using the Explorer App. Digital participation in the rally is also possible.
