THINK BIG – two degrees, two universities, two countries
Two degrees mean greater career opportunities, a potentially higher starting salary, and a wider set of skills that will be highly sought after in the labour market. Taking a dual degree programme means that you will be studying at SRH University Heidelberg and at one of our partner universities abroad. Dual degree graduates receive two academic degrees – one degree from each country.
What your dual degree programme involves
You will start studying for your dual degree in Germany, here with us at SRH University Heidelberg. As a Bachelor’s student, your international experience will typically begin in your third year; for Master’s students, in the second year: this is when you move abroad to our partner university for the dual degree programme.
Overview dual degree (Bachelor)
The dual degree provides a student the opportunity to earn two degrees. The student attends two universities in two different countries, SRH Germany and one other. This is sometimes referred to as a double degree.
The two degrees might be in the same subject area, or in two different subjects.
All dual degrees are taught in English. A TOEFL score of 85 is generally required.
The decision to take a dual degree is not taken until after you have started your SRH programme. All students are invited to attend an information session followed by an online application.
Students start their SRH BA degree and complete 2 years of courses before departing to the partner university for the 2nd degree. Once the degree is completed at the partner university the student must complete the SRH degree, which can be anywhere in the world, (thesis and possibly internship).
Personal support is provided until both degrees are completed.
Dual degrees are subject to change, by the partner universities. In the event of cancellation, students are offered an alternative international experience, either an alternative partner dual degree or semester abroad.
Students continue to pay ONLY the SRH during the time taken to complete both degrees or for an additional 6 months, whichever is the longer. No tuition fees are payable to the partner university.
