Exploring the Wonders of Water: A Day of Experiments at SRH Hochschule Campus with Kids

At SRH Hochschule Campus, enthusiastic and curious kids came together to delve into the fascinating world of water through various engaging experiments. They dressed in their laboratory coats and safety glasses and became ready to explore the wonders of science and water. There were five gripping water experiments waiting for the kids; Rainbow Traveling Water Experiment, Pythagoras Cup, Boats Making, Water Filtration, and Water Quality (pH). The Rainbow Traveling Water Experiment is an educational activity for kids to explore the fascinating properties of the water with a few simple materials. The magic aims to drop different colors into the water and create a bridge using a paper towel, allowing water to travel up against gravity, forming a beautiful rainbow.

Kids who saw the formation of the rainbow on the paper towel were fascinated and learned the ability of water to climb against gravity through narrow spaces in a fun way. In the Pythagoras Cup experiment, kids poured the water through two different vertical plastic cups and explored the results of water under pressure. The young explorers, designed and crafted their own boats by folding the paper and dyeing them into their favorite colors. After that, they put their handmade boats into the water and floated. In the water filtration experiments, kids placed different sizes of gravel inside a cup and poured the dirty water through the gravel. And they explored various methods of water purification, discovering how natural filtration system works. With the pH testing experiment, the kids tested the acidity or alkalinity of the water by using pH strips in different water samples. They were surprised again by the color change in the pH stripes, while different water samples looked the same from the outside. The experiment shed light on how could the quality of water be different.

The Water Experiment Day at SRH Hochschule Campus was not just a day of fun and games; it was an educational journey that sparked curiosity and awareness about the vital role water plays in our lives. Through interactive experiments, kids not only learned scientific concepts but also developed a deeper appreciation for the environment and water.
