SRH University Heidelberg runs for the NCT

The NCT Run has taken place every year since 2012 as a charity run. The focus is not on top athletic performances, but on supporting the fight for a world against cancer.

On July 8, about 50 motivated runners ran around the campus at almost 35 degrees. They had a shared goal: with every kilometer they ran, they supported the National Center for Tumor Diseases in Heidelberg (NCT).

In total, the runners of the SRH team ran over 500 kilometers. The run was organized by VR student and SV member Victor Kaba. The NCT invited Victor last week to give him a certificate for his commitment. Many thanks to Victor, to all helpers and to all runners for this great action!

The NCT Run has taken place every year since 2012 as a charity run. The focus is not on top athletic performances, but on supporting the fight for a world against cancer. Since 2020, the run has taken place virtually, so that this year over 5,000 people on seven continents took part. A total of 66,500 kilometers were covered to raise 70,000 euros, which will benefit various projects for the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare of cancer.
