As part of the YIP project, SRH University Heidelberg and UNIVA are jointly planning four project-based events: Hackathon (online), Study Visit in Germany (SRH), Practical in Mexiko (UNIVA) and a final conference (online). The group of participants includes students from engineering and technical studies at both partner universities.

The students  will develop innovative technical solutions for sustainable water resource management at Lago de Chapala and Rio Lerma, which contribute to the prevention and reduction of local conflicts of water usage. Moreover, the students will work in international teams developing a complete cycle of a practical project, gaining experience in intercultural project management under real practical conditions.

Furthermore, the teachers will present different techniques and methodological approaches, while the students carry out the creative process and implementation of the projects. In this project the students are the main actors, whereas the teachers play a more supportive and knowledge mediating role.
